Nico Steytler appointed to help draft Constitution of Solomon Islands
Prof Nico Steytler, will assist the government of the Solomon Islands in preparing a new Constitution.
The government of the Solomon Islands has appointed the South African Research Chair in Multilevel Government in the Dullah Omar Institute, Prof Nico Steytler, to a panel of international Constitutional Advisors to the Constitutional Congress and Eminent Persons Advisory Council. This panel will advise on the final text of the new Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of the Solomon Islands. Prof Steytler will be joined by other eminent constitutional scholars such as Prof Yash Ghai and Dr Philip Knight.
