Adv Jennica Beukes
Jennica Beukes is a practicing Advocate and Doctoral Researcher at the Dullah Omar Institute, University of Western Cape (UWC). She specialises in Public Law and Jurisprudence and her areas of expertise lie in democractic and political theory, institutional design, constitutional-administrative law, local government, policy formulation and coalition governments. She holds an LLB and LLM, and several certificates and academic awards. In 2022, she was awarded the Emerging Academic Award (2022) from Judges Matter. She is in the process of completing her LLD which focuses on coalition governments in South Africa's Local Government. She is the co-author of the Framework for Coalitions in Local Government published by SALGA and which comprises a significant part of her LLD thesis.
