African School on Decentralisation 2022: Call for Applications [Application closing date extended to 14 February 2022]

The African School on Decentralisation (ASD) is offered jointly by the South African Research Chair (SARChI) in Multilevel Government at the Dullah Omar Institute (DOI) of the University of the Western Cape, and the Centre for Federalism and Governance Studies (CFGS) of Addis Ababa University.

The School analyses decentralisation in Africa, presented by leading international experts on decentralisation from Africa and further afield.

The African School on Decentralisation will be held in Cape Town, 30 May - 10 June 2022, under the theme ‘Good Governance in African Cities.

WHO CAN APPLY?

The course is targeted at:

  • State officials at national, state/provincial, and local levels
  • Practitioners in multilevel governance
  • Members of local and international nongovernmental organisations
  • Post-graduate students and researchers in law, public policy, governance, politics and related fields.
