Dullah Omar Institute welcomes Centre for Human Rights students

The Dullah Omar Institute is delighted to announce that, three LLM/MPhil in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa, students from Centre for Human Rights, University of  Pretoria joined the institute. The students will be doing their internship at the institute until December.

Henok Ashagrey from Ethiopia will join the Multilevel Government / SARChI programme and his dissertation topic is: Politicization of Ethnicity and its implication on individual rights; critical appraisal of the Ethiopian federal system.

Theophilus Michael Odaudu  from Nigeria will be with Socioeconomic Rights Project as his  dissertation is dealing with eradicating poverty and building an inclusive Africa. He is examining the implementation of the Five-Year priority programme.

Nimrod Muhumuza from Uganda will join the Children’s Rights Project and his dissertation topic is: The constitutionality of compulsory religious education in public secondary schools in Uganda.

Every year the Centre for Human Rights,  which is dedicated to promoting human rights in Africa, sends its students to do internship at various institutions across the continent.  The Dullah Omar Institute has been one of the partner institutions for initiative.
