Prof De Visser shares South African experience with Philippines Constitutional Review Committee
Prof Jaap de Visser was invited by the Forum of Federations to be part of an engagement, on 11 and 12 May 2018, between international experts and the Philippines Consultative Committee to review the Constitution of the Philippines.
The Committee has been tasked by the President of the Philippines to produce a draft Constitution with federalism as the leading principle to organise the state. Prof De Visser shared the South African experience with provincial and local government with a specific focus on the need for healthy intergovernmental relations.
