CSPRI Launch of "Children in Prison in South Africa"

The research report "Children in Prison in South Africa," is a situational analysis of children in both sentenced and remand detention facilities in the county. The report, based on quantitative and qualitative data, and organised according to United Nations indicators, contains the most recent data on and analysis of children in prison in South Africa.

Persons wishing to attend should please email their RSVP to Clare Ballard (cballard@uwc.ac.za) by no later than Wednesday 23 May 2012.

The launch will commence with a presentation on the report by the authors, Lukas Muntingh and Clare Ballard, after which there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion, and, hopefully, an address from the Commissioner of Correctional Services.

A printed version of the report will be available at the launch, and an online version will be available in due course.
