Check out our new Local Government Bulletin website

The Dullah Omar Institute is excited to announce the launch of a new website for the Local Government Bulletin. The Bulletin is produced by the Institute’s Multilevel Government Project and contains short, accessible articles on local government in South Africa and Africa.

The new website (https://dullahomarinstitute.org.za/multilevel-govt/local-government-bulletin) comes with great new features to make the site faster, easier to navigate, and more user-friendly. It will continue to provide regular, accessible and searchable articles, policy briefs, reports on judgment, summaries of new bills etc. Here are the top six things site visitors can do, or explore on the new website:

  1. Find information about the Bulletin - its objective, history and editors
  2. Easily locate the latest Volume/Issue of the Bulletin
  3. Search articles by theme relevant to local government e.g. “municipal revenue” or “elections”
  4. Easily access the Bulletin’s archive with hundreds of articles published since 1999
  5. Find information on how to submit articles for publication
  6. Subscribe to regular updates of the Bulletin

Our current followers will find the new look refreshing but we have kept the old Bulletin colours for you. Prospective followers will find the new site easy to use, and will find articles quickly. The new website is also integrated with the Dullah Omar Institute’s social media buttons for Facebook, Twitter and Youtube for improved communication with our readers and stakeholders.

We endeavour to continuously improve the site visitors’ experience and appreciate any feedback via e-mail. Thanks to the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Bavarian State Chancellery for extending financial support, as well as to Juizi for doing the technical work. We hope you will enjoy exploring the new Local Government Bulletin website.
