Recording: Webinar to commemorate the life of Dulcie September

On 29 March 2021, the Dullah Omar Institute and the South African Embassy in France hosted a webinar under the title: Webinar to commemorate the life of Dulcie September.

The panel comprised Ambassador Tebogo Seokolo (Ambassador of South Africa to France), Professor Tyrone Pretorius (Rector and Vice Chancellor of the University of the Western Cape), Minister Ms Candith Mashego -Dlamini (Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation), Mr Christian Metairie (The Mayor of the City of Arcueil), Ambassador Lindiwe Mabuza (Former Ambassador of South Africa to Germany, Malaysia, the United Kingdom and Former ANC Chief Representative to Sweden), Mr Alexandre Moumbaris (Former Member of the ANC uMkhonto Wesizwe (MK), Part of the anti-Apartheid movement in the UK and France, and Former Political Prisoner in South Africa), Ms Jacqueline Dérens (Former activist of the French anti-apartheid organisation Rencontre nationale contre l'Apartheid), Dr Nestor Bidadanure (Former Anti-Apartheid Activist and Dulcie September’s Interpreter in France), Ms Damarys Charlotte Maa-Marchand (Honorary President and National Delegate of the International Federation of African Women of France and Europe (IFAFE) in the City of Arcueil, France), Ms Elia Trigon (A Student in France who researched on Dulcie September and wrote a thesis dedicated to the anti-apartheid movement and Dulcie September) and Mr Randolph Arendse (Representative of the Dulcie September Family). The webinar was chaired by Ambassador Thenjiwe Mtintso and Dr Robert Nanima.
