Dr Gerald J.T Mandisodza
Gerald J. T. Mandisodza is a postdoctoral researcher in the Faculty of Law at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa, and a researcher with the Dullah Omar Institute under the African Centre for Justice and Reconciliation (ACJR) project. His research engages with gender and legal pluralism in Africa, with a particular focus on the tensions between constitutional human rights, post-colonial legal frameworks and rights of the marginalised communities. He is currently working on the Penal State and Everyday Peace project, which examines the gendered impact of municipal regulations on informal traders. His broader scholarly interests include constitutional law, legal pluralism, gender, social justice and the regulation of everyday life in post-colonial legal systems.
