Academic Seminar Visits: Extraordinary Prof Stephen Berrisford from the University of Western Cape
The meeting with Prof Berrisford, was to provide a platform to the Ugandan delegation on ideas for urban land law reform. The discussion highlighted the significance in understanding the urban land market and identifying problems to be tackled for effective urban land reform.
A formal presentation for the delegation was conducted on the lessons Uganda can use from the Region and South Africa. Thereafter, a one-on-one question and answer session followed by the delegation posing specific questions to the Prof Berrisford on the matters they need to address in their recommendations for the Ugandan law reform process.
