The Institute welcomes two visiting doctoral researchers
Fabrizio E. Crameri currently works at the Institute of Federalism in Fribourg (Switzerland). He recently won a scholarship from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) connected to his Ph.D. research in law and it includes an 11-month long stay at the Dullah Omar Institute working with his co-supervisor Prof Steytler. The purpose of the stay will be to conduct research for your doctoral thesis under Profs co-supervision as his research also covers South Africa’s transition to democracy and the role the judiciary played in it.
Adriano Dirri was awarded a PhD scholarship from the Department of Political Science of the University of Rome La Sapienza. He is working on his dissertation focusing on ethnic management and federalism in African countries (Nigeria, South Africa and Ethiopia) in a Comparative Perspective”. He is visiting the institute in order to do some field research and access relevant documents and materials useful to his doctoral thesis. He is doing some research in South Africa under Prof Steytler's supervision.
