Two DOI members receive postgraduate degrees

The Institute is proud to announce that two of its members received postgraduate degrees today at UWC’s May 2021 graduation.

Oluwafunmilola Adeniyi, who worked as a doctoral researcher in the Socio-Economic Rights Project and continues to work in the Project as a Post-doctoral Researcher, graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy Degree.  Her thesis examined the following topic: Hungry for knowledge, hungry for bread: Realising the right to food of students in South African Tertiary Institutions. She was supervised by Prof Ebenezer Durojaye and Prof Jaap de Visser. 

 

Aisosa Jennifer Omoruyi, who works as a Post-doctoral Researcher in the Socio-Economic Rights Project, graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy Degree. Her thesis examined the following topic: Forced sterilization as a continuing violation of human rights in Africa: Possibilities and challenges.  She was supervised by Prof Ebenezer Durojaye and Prof Jamil Mujuzi.
